About Me

Hello, time to get a little more personal. Below you will find more about my education and training, however I also want you to know more about who I am. Therapy, Buddhism, and yoga were all integral practices that guided me to pursue and build the loving, safe, Queer life I have today and is a primary reason I now sit in the seat of a therapist.

Ten years ago I was about to finish my first year at Naropa University and was beginning my journey to become a Counseling Psychologist. This career path did not come to me in a linear or clear way. It was only a couple years prior to stepping into my graduate program that I was a traveling performer, nanny, preschool teacher, waiting tables and completing my first yoga teaching training. I felt confused and lost about who I am or what direction I wanted to take. testetsetestset

I would not have even dared imagine the joyful life I have now due to the paralyzing amount of confusion, self-doubt, and fear that encapsulated me. The privilege to go to therapy, practice yoga and meditate freed me from internal blockages and I can now say I have a career that I love, and most importantly a wife and a child that I adore in a home where we deeply protect our safety, love and connection.

I would not ask my clients to face the scariest parts of themselves or their pasts if I hadn’t done so myself and it was on the meditation cushion, on the sofas of my several  therapists and varies other healing programs that I looked and felt deeply into these painful places. Once I began facing my fears, feelings of worthlessness and childhood wounds I began to find and trust my inherent worth and love myself.

It is my deepest mission to help guide others to their sense of worth and self-love and therefore the freedom to pursue an authentic, loving, joyful and meaningful life.
